Bruce handled Dateline Blacklist (Butch) to first place at the Reuel Henry Pietz Derby Classic with a broke woodcock find. The stake was held during the Minnesota Grouse Championship on Thursday, October 15.

About Dateline Kennels
Dateline Kennels is a FDSB registered kennel name owned by me, Kevin Burney. We promote excellence in wild bird dogs primarily through competing in Coverdog Trials. Career commitments keep me from doing much of my own training and handling, so Bruce and Jennie Minard of Hifive Kennels do most of the heavy lifting, and for that we are very grateful. Our hope is that the dogs we campaign and endorse will have a positive affect on the gene pool of wild bird dogs. Ribbons are wonderful, but in our eyes they only serve to validate that we are on the right track for promoting wild bird dogs of a high caliber.
We do not do this for the money and we are not in it to sell puppies. We do it for the enjoyment of attempting to elevate wild bird dog genetics and believe this is the best approach. We occasionally have puppies, started dogs or finished dogs for sale for various reasons. They are priced according to value and are almost always sold at a substantial loss compared to the amount invested.
